Starting in 2022, Hungry Jack’s undertook a major campaign to uplift their entire customer journey experience – both in restaurant and in the drive thru – through the installation of modern indoor and outdoor digital menu boards across Australia.
Objectives
Before engaging Coates Group, Hungry Jack’s featured static restaurant front-counter menu boards and drive thru roller boards.
However, because these menu boards did not allow the brand to update menu content in real-time or leverage more advanced dynamic content publishing strategies, they needed a partner to provide the full digital experience they were looking for.
Solutions
Hungry Jack’s worked with us to deploy outdoor digital menu boards and indoor digital menu boards, accompanied by our proprietary Switchboard™ CMS at the majority of their locations.
The implementation of this new technology also enabled our team to add customer order display and promotional up-sell integrations to Hungry Jack’s digital merchandising solutions, further enhancing their customer experience.
Results
By the end of June 2023, the rollout of our solutions was complete at more than 300+ Hungry Jack’s restaurants across Australia.
The implementation of indoor and outdoor digital menu boards enhanced Hungry Jack’s drive thru customer experience, as the seamless ordering journey created makes it easy for visitors to visualise and purchase the items they want. In addition, this also increased efficiency for the brand’s marketing teams - allowing them to update all restaurant locations remotely, down to a restaurant location level.
As a result of their new digital signage solutions and Switchboard™ CMS implementation, Hungry Jack’s has seen an incredible improvement in drive thru customer order accuracy, speed of service, and an increase in average check due to upselling.
