As we enter our end of year festivities, the Coates Crew believed that there was no other way to start our celebrations than sharing our time for the greater good. Some of our Coates Crew members volunteered last week to pack fresh fruit and vegetables on Produce Day at Common Pantry.
Common Pantry is a non-profit food pantry founded in 1967 to help combat hunger and food insecurity in specific north side neighbourhoods here in Chicago. We love their initiative to meet the emergency food needs of our community through weekly food distributions, home delivery to elderly clients, hot lunch programs and their monthly distribution of fresh fruits and vegetables on Produce Day.
